With a strong belief in the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created his happy Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to create a figure that served as an eternal reminder to stay positive and optimistic. Even though the 1960s are often called the "Swinging Sixties," it was a decade marked by unrest. Therefore, Ehrenreich's design was a welcome source of joy in an otherwise turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble are the first Hoptimists created by the designer: a girl in a dress with smiling eyes and a boy with an alert gaze and a small sprout on his head. Today, the happy Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and spread joy all over the world. The figures are available in four different sizes and a wide range of colors that spread plenty of playful joy and good cheer.
