Briv sleeping bags: Our sleeping bags are labeled with three different temperature limits: COMFORT, LIMIT, and EXTREME. This is a voluntary industry agreement and follows the EN 13537 standard. A healthy, fit person has a heat production of about 60W. Many factors affect how you experience a night in a sleeping bag. - Heat production becomes higher than 60W if you eat or exercise lightly before going to bed. - Choice of sleeping pad. - Insulation capacity decreases when exposed to wind. - You can handle lower temperatures if you wear base layers, socks, or a hat, etc. - Insulation decreases at high humidity, and at high altitude, the body's sensitivity to cold increases, partly due to reduced oxygen levels. - Insulation decreases with sweating. - Younger, fit men and women have a heat production higher than 60W and can thus go below the specified temperature limits.
